How much does the 2019 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 8.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,216 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2019 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Honda Pilot earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. You get a family-focused midsize SUV that emphasizes space, comfort, and everyday usability, and owners repeatedly praise the spacious interior, ample cargo room, and family-friendly layout. That makes it a strong fit if you want a practical three-row SUV for commuting, errands, and long trips. With 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort and practicality. Owners consistently highlight the roomy cabin, smooth ride, and family-friendly usability, which are the kinds of traits that usually matter most over the long haul. Some shoppers may still want to pay close attention to transmission behavior and overall condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect used-car ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Pilot?

At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, signs of past repairs, and how the transmission feels on a test drive. Because this model is valued for comfort and family use, you should also focus on interior wear, cargo-area condition, and whether all seating and convenience features work properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,216 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,427, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $20,427 sits slightly below last year's $22,314.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable level, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter more, especially for a family SUV where buyers tend to compare clean-history examples closely. Strong maintenance records and a clean accident history should help you protect value better than mileage alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,359, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $20,427 average.
• It adds an impressive list of standard safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch for the 2020 and want its added standard safety equipment, that newer year is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize features over upfront savings.
