That matters if you want a used minivan that can handle daily family duty without feeling fragile or overly complicated. What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

At 60.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and family-use features, since this model is often chosen for heavy daily duty. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you want a van that still feels well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,683 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,203, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $21,203 sits slightly below last year's $23,141.

That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently now, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve the vehicle. If you keep mileage reasonable, maintain service records, and avoid accident history, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. Strong owner satisfaction helps too, because buyers tend to trust models that have a good reputation in the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,350, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $21,203 average.
• The 2018 adds a redesigned, more refined minivan package with more features and better versatility.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and availability. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better value-focused alternative.
