CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Honda Accord

Summary
With 287 currently listed for sale near Cincinnati, OH and an average price of $18,531, 32.8% of 2019 Honda Accords for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Honda Accord 4.43 / 5 stars.
86.1% of 2019 Accord models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2019 Honda Accord stands out as a roomy, well-rounded family sedan that blends practicality with a more upscale feel than many buyers expect in this class. Honda’s tenth-generation redesign brought a simple, easy-to-use interior, a center touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, physical HVAC controls, and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also increased interior room, with rear seat comfort described as “luxury-car massive,” and the cargo hold was noted as best in class among its contemporaries. For shoppers who value a sedan that feels polished without becoming complicated, that combination is a major part of the Accord’s appeal.
This generation also broadened the Accord’s appeal with a range of powertrains. For 2019, engine options were limited to four-cylinders, with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 192 horsepower in lower trims and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 252 horsepower in higher-end trims. A six-speed manual transmission was available only in the Sport trim, where it could be paired with either turbo engine. The Accord Hybrid also returned with two electric motors and a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine, producing a combined 212 horsepower. Safety was another strength: every trim came standard with Honda Sensing, and the car again earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick. The main drawbacks are that cabin storage could be better and, as with many Accords, it tends to be more expensive than some competitors.

How much does the 2019 Honda Accord cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $18,830 |
| Year-Round Low | $18,497 |
| Year-Round High | $19,972 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $19,971 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −5.71% |
Prices have softened 5.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 3,850 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord a good car?
Generally — the 2019 Honda Accord earns a 4.43/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its stylish design, luxurious interior, excellent reliability, impressive fuel economy, smooth ride quality, and comfortable, spacious cockpit. For you, that means this is a strong fit if you want a roomy, polished family sedan that feels more upscale than many rivals. With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord reliable?
Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The review summary repeatedly highlights excellent reliability, and owners also describe the car as dependable and trouble-free over time. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used sedan you can count on for long-term ownership. For you, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding a specific used example that has been maintained well.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Accord?
At 53.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks especially clean or well priced. Focus on condition details that affect daily use, including signs of prior bodywork, tire wear, brake condition, and any unusual noises or vibrations on a test drive. If a listing has a strong price but questionable history, make sure the discount is enough to justify the added risk.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Accord?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 3,850 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.71% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 53.8% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,497, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Honda Accord's resale value?
The current average of $18,830 sits slightly below last year's $19,971.
That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to resell later, a lower entry price can reduce your depreciation exposure compared with buying when prices are higher. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Honda Accord or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 53.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.71% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2018 if:
- At $18,008, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $18,830 average.
- It feels especially appealing as an all-new model with a strong balance of comfort and driver appeal.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $20,307, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,830 average.
- It adds a more complete mix of comfort, tech, and usability.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2019 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package, the 2020 is the upgrade path to compare.
