What is the 2019 Genesis G80's resale value?

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep demand steady among used luxury-sedan shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $18,030, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $20,917 average.
• It adds a more performance-focused character with a Sport trim and twin-turbo V6.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2019 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and inventory. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better value-first alternative.
