Used 2019 Genesis G70 for Sale nearSan Francisco, CA

How much does the 2019 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 8.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 218 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, sporty performance, great acceleration, handling, and abundance of standard features. It also stands out as a strong value for money, which fits its role as a distinctive compact luxury sport sedan rather than a familiar mainstream choice.

The 30.7% share of good and great deals suggests there are still worthwhile listings to find if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable and trouble-free enough to inspire confidence over time, with praise centered on its overall quality and value. The driving impression also supports that sense of durability, with the car described as well behaved, smooth, and organic on the road.

Genesis includes 3 years or 36,000 miles of scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership hassle. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure prior use and upkeep were handled well, especially because condition can vary meaningfully from one listing to the next.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Genesis G70?

At 63.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on cars with higher mileage or visible cosmetic wear. Pay close attention to how the cabin, infotainment, and driver-assistance features function, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on its premium feel and standard equipment.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin emphasizes padded materials, aluminum trim, tight panel gaps, and contrast stitching, while the base-level tech and switchgear are lifted from lower-priced Hyundai and Kia models.
• Powertrain: The turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder is adequate, while the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 brings 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque; all-wheel drive is optional on all trims, and the manual cannot be paired with AWD.
• Safety package: Forward emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, a driver-attention monitor, adaptive cruise control, a driver’s knee airbag, and auto high beams come standard.
• Infotainment: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a wireless charging pad, Genesis Connected services, voice recognition, and a 360-degree camera system.
• Fuel efficiency: The G70 is EPA-estimated at 18 to 22 mpg city, 25 to 30 mpg highway, and 20 to 25 mpg combined.

Which 2019 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Genesis G70 is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.0T, 2.0T Advanced, 3.3T, and 3.3T Sport.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the entry point, and it gives you the G70’s core luxury-sport character with the standard equipment that makes the car appealing in the first place.
• 2.0T Advanced: This is the best-value trim if you want more comfort and convenience without jumping to the pricier V6 models.
• 3.3T: Choose this if you want the stronger 365-horsepower twin-turbo V6 and the more serious performance hardware that comes with it.
• 3.3T Sport: This is the enthusiast pick, adding the most performance-focused setup and the richest equipment mix for buyers who want the full experience.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best listings still deserve quick attention.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 218 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,607, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $19,641 sits slightly below last year's $21,543.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Strong equipment, a premium feel, and broad owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones, especially if they present clean history and desirable features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2019 G70 has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) rated it a Top Safety Pick+, its highest award.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, a driver-attention monitor, and adaptive cruise control come standard on all models. A driver’s knee airbag and auto high beams are also included.

Should I buy a 2019 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It’s the first all-new, ground-up Genesis design, and it arrives with strong luxury-sport appeal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,075, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $19,641 average.
• It adds a more distinctive, attention-getting presence with a luxurious cabin and strong value.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better starting point if you want the lower average price and a strong mix of style, performance, and owner satisfaction. If you can stretch a bit more and want the next year’s slightly more distinctive presentation, the 2020 is the alternative to compare.
