Used 2019 GMC Acadia for Sale nearNew Orleans, LA

How much does the 2019 GMC Acadia cost?

Prices have softened 9.99% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,528 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2019 GMC Acadia a good car?

Generally — the 2019 GMC Acadia earns a 4.43/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for many shoppers. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners commonly praise the smooth ride, stylish design, and family-friendly features. The overview also frames it as a three-row midsize SUV that feels more upscale and distinctive than many rivals, with a refined cabin and a layout aimed at everyday family use.

That said, it is not as large or spacious as some competitors, so it fits you best if you value a more polished feel over maximum room. With 35.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market looks reasonably accommodating if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 GMC Acadia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a smooth ride and a stylish, family-friendly package, while also describing the Acadia as spacious and feature-rich for daily use. The expert driving notes also describe it as a powerful and well-balanced machine that feels good in regular commuting and can handle more demanding situations when needed.

The ownership picture is still worth a close look because some reviewers mention a frustrating shift-to-park issue on certain models. For used buyers, that means you should pay attention to service history and verify that all electronic and transmission-related functions work as expected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 GMC Acadia?

At 65.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has any accident history or incomplete service records. Focus on body condition, interior wear, and whether all convenience and driver-assistance features operate correctly. If you are considering a higher-mileage example, make sure the drivetrain and electronics feel consistent during a thorough test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SL trim covers the basics with 17-inch painted aluminum wheels, 7-passenger seating, remote keyless entry, 3-zone climate control, and heated power side mirrors. The SLE-1 adds signature LED headlights and SiriusXM, while the SLE-2 adds a power liftgate, fog lights, heated front seats, and remote engine start. The SLT-1 is the best-value step because it makes much of the desirable content standard, including a Bose 8-speaker premium stereo and more driver-assistance features. The SLT-2 adds heated rear seats and front-seat memory settings, while the Denali brings the most luxury-focused equipment.
• Powertrain: Two engines are offered: a 193-hp inline 4-cylinder and a 310-hp 3.6-liter V6. The V6 is the stronger choice, with quick acceleration, available AWD, and up to 4,000 pounds of towing capacity when properly equipped. The 4-cylinder is FWD-only, while the V6 can be paired with FWD or AWD.
• Safety package: The Acadia comes standard with front- and side-impact airbags, a reversing camera, and traction control. Driver Alert Package 1 adds blind-spot warning, lane-change alert, and rear park assist. Driver Alert Package 2 adds low-speed forward automatic braking, lane-departure warning, pedestrian detection, forward-collision alert, adaptive headlights and high beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors. Some of these features are not standard on lower trims.
• Infotainment: The base SL uses a 7-inch touchscreen with IntelliLink, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, five USB ports, and a WiFi hotspot that requires a subscription. SLT-1 upgrades to an 8-inch screen, and the Denali adds navigation plus a larger 8-inch driver display.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 4-cylinder FWD setup returns 21 mpg city, 26 highway, and 23 combined. The V6 AWD setup is rated at 17/25/20, and the expert test drive observed 19.8 mpg in mixed driving.

Which 2019 GMC Acadia trim should I buy?

The 2019 GMC Acadia is offered in 6 trim levels: SL, SLE-1, SLE-2, SLT-1, SLT-2, and Denali.

Here's the short version:

• SL: This is the value-focused entry point, but it is mostly about covering the basics. You get the core family-hauler essentials, yet the content strategy leaves you wanting more if you care about convenience and upscale feel.
• SLE-1: This trim adds LED headlights and SiriusXM, but it still leans heavily on option packages. It makes sense only if you are comfortable building up the vehicle piece by piece.
• SLE-2: This adds a power liftgate, fog lights, heated front seats, and remote engine start, making it more usable day to day. It is a better-equipped choice, though the package-heavy approach still limits its value appeal.
• SLT-1: This is the best-value trim. It brings the stronger mix of comfort, tech, and driver-assistance content, including the Bose audio system and the larger touchscreen, without pushing all the way to luxury pricing.
• SLT-2: This is the pick if you want more convenience and safety content, including heated rear seats and front-seat memory settings. It is a good step up if you plan to keep the SUV for family duty and want more premium touches.
• Denali: This is the luxury-oriented choice, with the most upscale appearance and features, including navigation, a larger driver display, and leather-appointed seating. It suits you best if you want the most polished Acadia experience.

The safety-package setup is strongest as you move up the range, so lower trims may need more option shopping to match the protection and driver-assistance content you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options but still enough variation to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,528 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,175, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $17,175 sits slightly below last year's $19,081.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you can reduce the impact of that softer trend. The Acadia’s broad family appeal and upscale feel should still help it attract shoppers later, especially if it has a clean history and desirable equipment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 GMC Acadia safe?

The 2019 GMC Acadia earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with front- and side-impact airbags, a reversing camera, and traction control. Driver Alert Package 1 adds blind-spot warning, lane-change alert, and rear park assist, while Driver Alert Package 2 adds low-speed forward automatic braking, lane-departure warning, pedestrian detection, forward-collision alert, adaptive headlights and high beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.

Some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on lower trims, so you may need to move up the lineup or find a well-equipped example to get the safety content you want.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It offers a more upscale cabin and a more distinctive feel than many three-row midsize SUVs.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,398, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $17,175 average.
• It broadens V6 availability and improves towing flexibility.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,007, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $17,175 average.
• It adds bolder styling, an AT4 trim, and updated technology.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, upscale feel, and available inventory, the 2019 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 can save you money, while the 2020 makes sense if you want the refresh and are willing to pay more for it.
