At 69.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Focus on condition, maintenance documentation, and consistency between the listing details and the car’s actual wear.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW 8 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 32% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 150 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,661, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW 8 Series's resale value?

The current average of $43,661 sits slightly below last year's $47,162.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because buyers will likely compare your car against similarly priced listings. Strong documentation and accident-free history can help protect value when it’s time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW 8 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $39,339, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $43,661 average.
• It shifts toward a more driver-focused grand touring setup with a comfortable cabin and strong tech.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest owner satisfaction signal and are comfortable shopping carefully, the 2019 is a solid choice. If your priority is lower pricing, the 2020 is the better value path and may be the smarter starting point for price-sensitive buyers.
