How much does the 2018 Toyota Corolla cost?

Prices are up 1.22% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,780 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and condition.

Is the 2018 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Generally — the 2018 Toyota Corolla earns a 4.2/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its great gas mileage, reliability, and ease of driving, and they also value its comfortable interior and overall usefulness. That lines up well with its practical compact-car mission, especially if you want a straightforward daily driver with low running costs and broad appeal. With 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2018 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable and easy to live with, and the review summary also highlights its dependable nature and strong value. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used car you can count on for everyday commuting and long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated avoidable wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Toyota Corolla?

At 45.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on cars with higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, maintenance consistency, and signs of past bodywork so you can separate a clean, well-kept Corolla from one that only looks affordable on paper.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,780 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.22% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 45.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,508, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $14,414 sits slightly above last year's $14,241.

That modest increase suggests the Corolla continues to hold buyer interest well enough to support steady resale performance. If you buy carefully and keep the car in good condition, you should have a reasonable chance of preserving value better than with a less in-demand compact car. The price trend also suggests the market still recognizes this model year’s practicality and low-cost ownership appeal.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.22% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $13,887, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $14,414 average.
• It adds standard Safety Sense P and a more complete safety package.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, demand, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2017 is the better value play, especially if you find one with the safety equipment and condition you want.
