How much does the 2018 Toyota Camry cost?

There are 2,939 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Toyota Camry earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its attractive design, reliable performance, great gas mileage, comfortable ride, and safety features. That lines up well with the Camry’s practical mission as a daily driver for work, school, and other routine trips, while still giving you a more expressive look than a typical family sedan.

The market also shows 30.2% good or great deals, so there are still some attractive listings if you shop carefully.

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to reliable performance and a car that feels dependable for everyday transportation. The expert review also frames the Camry as a competent sedan built to handle daily driving duties with confidence, and the available 4-cylinder is described as pulling surprisingly well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Toyota Camry?

At 49% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, uneven panel gaps, and any signs that the car’s condition doesn’t match the listing description. Focus especially on the interior and feature set, since lower trims may leave out equipment some shoppers expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The L trim is the most basic, with remote keyless entry, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and a USB port. The LE adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a power driver’s seat, an anti-theft system, and a 60/40 split-fold rear seat, while the SE adds a unique front-end design, 18-inch black-finished wheels, a rear spoiler, automatic climate control, and SofTex sport front seats. The XSE adds dual-zone climate control, three USB ports, a head-up display, a panoramic moonroof, and a large 7-inch color information display, while the XLE adds full LED headlights, a bright metallic front grille, 18-inch chrome-finished alloy wheels, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, and upgraded interior trim.
• Powertrain: The base 2.5-liter 4-cylinder makes 203 horsepower, and the XSE version increases that output to 206 horsepower. The XSE and XLE are also available with a 301-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, and all versions use an 8-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode. The 4-cylinder returns 29 mpg city and 41 mpg highway, while the V6 returns 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense P is standard, and it includes forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. You can also get a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and intelligent clearance sonar, plus an available 360-degree camera. Some of those features are not standard on every trim.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Entune 3.0, Bluetooth connectivity, Siri EyesFree, and Google voice controls for Android users. It does not include Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The XLE V6 and XSE get a larger 8-inch touchscreen, plus a 9-speaker JBL premium audio system and RemoteConnect with Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4-cylinder returns 29 mpg city, 41 mpg highway, and 34 mpg combined. The V6 returns 22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined.

Which 2018 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2018 Toyota Camry is offered in 5 trim levels: L, LE, SE, XSE, and XLE.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the simplest Camry, with remote keyless entry, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and a USB port. It makes sense if you want the lowest-frills entry point, but it leaves out a lot of the comfort and convenience upgrades found higher up the range.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a power driver’s seat, an anti-theft system, and a split-fold rear seat without pushing you into the sportier or more expensive models.
• SE: This trim is the better pick if you want the Camry’s more aggressive look, plus 18-inch black-finished wheels, a rear spoiler, automatic climate control, and SofTex sport front seats.
• XSE: This is the most feature-rich choice if you want a more upscale and tech-heavy Camry, with dual-zone climate control, three USB ports, a head-up display, a panoramic moonroof, and the larger 8-inch touchscreen when equipped with the V6.
• XLE: This is the comfort-oriented choice, with full LED headlights, chrome-finished wheels, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, and upgraded interior trim.

Toyota Safety Sense P is standard across the lineup, and the available blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and intelligent clearance sonar can add useful peace of mind.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,939 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,878, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $17,666 sits slightly below last year's $17,668.

That small change suggests the Camry’s used-market value has been stable rather than volatile. For a future seller, that usually means you’re less likely to see dramatic swings in what buyers are willing to pay, especially if your car is well maintained and presents cleanly.

Because demand is supported by strong owner satisfaction and broad everyday appeal, a well-kept Camry should remain relatively easy to market later. Mileage, condition, and accident history will still matter a lot, but the overall pricing pattern points to steady resale behavior.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2018 Toyota Camry earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense P is standard, and it includes forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. You can also get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and intelligent clearance sonar, plus an available 360-degree camera for easier low-speed maneuvering.

That standard safety suite is a major strength, especially if you want advanced driver assistance without moving to a higher trim. The main caveat is that some helpful features remain optional rather than standard, so you should confirm the exact equipment on any listing you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends bold styling with strong safety and a more expressive take on everyday transportation.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,981, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $17,666 average.
• It’s the outgoing generation, so you may find a more established, value-focused sedan.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $18,648, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $17,666 average.
• It adds stronger safety credentials and a free maintenance plan.

The bottom line: Choose the 2018 if you want the newer design, strong safety, and a stable price point. If your priority is saving money, the 2017 is the better budget play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package, the 2019 is worth a look.
