How much does the 2018 Tesla Model 3 cost?

There are 1,321 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Tesla Model 3 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Tesla Model 3 earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its exciting performance, impressive technology, and fun driving experience, and many specifically highlight the acceleration and enhanced Autopilot. That lines up with the overview: if you want a compact electric sedan with a tech-forward feel and engaging driving character, this model year fits that use case well. Is the 2018 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

The user review summary also points to a reliable-feeling ownership experience through its strong performance, advanced features, and the confidence many drivers place in enhanced Autopilot. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright satisfaction and more about making sure software-related quirks and feature expectations match the specific car you’re considering.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Tesla Model 3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks overall condition and confirms the car’s software and feature behavior. Pay close attention to any signs of prior damage, because a clean history matters even more when you’re shopping a tech-heavy EV. It’s also smart to make sure the car’s condition matches the asking price, especially if you’re comparing it with other listings in the same range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Tesla Model 3?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,321 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,892, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $19,619 sits slightly below last year's $20,112.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited in the near term. If you plan to sell later, the strongest protection against depreciation is buying a well-kept example at a sensible price today. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.45% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a used Model 3 with strong owner approval, a tech-forward personality, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities, the 2018 is a solid primary target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on the lower end of the range and compare carefully against other nearby model years before you commit.
