Why it stands out
The 2018 Subaru Outback ensures a combination of practicality and safety that continues to attract buyers. Its all-wheel-drive system is standard, enhancing its appeal for those who drive in varied conditions, while its spacious design and a cargo capacity of 73.3 cubic feet with the seats folded down make it an excellent choice for families or outdoor enthusiasts. Notably, the Outback scored exceptionally well in safety ratings, including a 5-star rating from the federal government and a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS, showcasing its robust protective features. However, some users have cited aspects like infotainment system drawbacks and limited interior lighting as areas for improvement, though the overall user satisfaction remains high. Additionally, the expert test drive review highlights the Outback’s ability to deliver a comfortable ride for longer trips while maintaining off-road capability, making it versatile for multiple driving needs.

Call me biased, but I don’t see why everyone doesn’t go for this car. Meets all my needs and it’s reliable, relatively affordable, and sleek looking, what more could I want

I came from a 2009 Nissan Murano SL AWD. This outback has so many fancy features! I love the blind spot monitors, the automatic braking, adaptive cruise, lane detection, etc. Only things Im missing from my Murano are my toe hitch, my 6 CD changer, and buttons in the truck to lift the back seats for me.

I bought the Premium model as a replacement for my 2012 Outback. My 2018 has navigation and moon roof. Car is awesome. Drives and shifts more smoothly than the older one. Not that much acceleration getting on the freeway but adequate. I like all the safety features (blind spot detection, back up camera, lane detection, etc.). Ill be keeping this car until self-driving cars are the standard.
