Is the 2018 Porsche Panamera a good car?

Yes — the 4.53/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. That makes it especially appealing if you want a fast, premium sedan that still works well for everyday use. Is the 2018 Porsche Panamera reliable?

Owners rate it 4.53/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to buyers who plan to keep it for a while, especially when it comes to overall enjoyment and confidence in the ownership experience. The same feedback also suggests that you should pay attention to condition, since some pre-owned examples may show minor cosmetic wear. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about finding a well-kept example than worrying about the model’s basic appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Porsche Panamera?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. Pay close attention to cosmetic wear, maintenance records, and any signs of previous damage or repair. Because this is a premium performance car, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone.

What is the 2018 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $42,821 sits slightly below last year's $46,545.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at a strong price and keep the car in excellent condition, you can help protect your future resale position. Premium models like this one tend to reward careful ownership, especially when buyers can see that the car has been well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.53/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.53/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $40,472, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $42,821 average.
• The all-new second generation sharpened performance, style, and technology.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger balance of current-market pricing, owner satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2018 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and the lower price matters more than the newer-year market position.
