Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report so you can confirm accident status, ownership patterns, and maintenance records. Focus on overall condition, including cosmetic wear and signs of heavy use, because some pre-owned examples may show more wear than you expect.

What is the 2018 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want Porsche performance with everyday usability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.53/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.53/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $40,668, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $42,800 average.
• It brings Porsche’s sports-car character into a large luxury four-door.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2018 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2017 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
