Is the 2018 Porsche Panamera a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. That makes it a strong fit if you want a premium four-door that still feels engaging to drive and usable every day. Is the 2018 Porsche Panamera reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its strong performance, luxury feel, and trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. The same feedback also suggests it can be a car you count on for both comfort and driving enjoyment over the long term. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the concept and more about condition, since premium cars can become expensive if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Porsche Panamera?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a careful pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. Pay close attention to signs of cosmetic wear and any evidence of prior damage, since even minor issues can matter more on a premium car. It also helps to compare maintenance records and overall presentation across listings so you can separate a well-kept example from one that has been used harder.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Porsche Panamera?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 318 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,304, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $42,341 sits slightly below last year's $46,344.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right number. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it comes time to sell. Strong condition and a clean history should matter a lot here, because premium used cars tend to reward buyers who shop carefully.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $41,734, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $42,341 average.
• It brings Porsche’s sports-car character into a large luxury four-door without losing the brand’s performance identity.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2018 is the cleaner primary choice. If you are more price-sensitive and want to save a bit upfront, the 2017 is the better secondary path.
