Is the 2018 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in everyday use, with repeated praise for its smooth ride and comfort over time. For long-term ownership, that kind of satisfaction is encouraging, though you should still verify condition carefully before buying.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

At 65.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of repair quality, and whether the SUV still feels tight and well-kept in everyday use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,398 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,968, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $13,968 sits slightly below last year's $15,560.

That decline suggests the Murano has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The model’s comfort-focused appeal and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for clean, well-maintained examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Murano makes the most sense if you want a comfort-first midsize SUV with strong owner approval and a softer used-car price than last year. If your priority is maximizing value, this year is worth a close look, especially for clean examples priced below the market average. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained listing rather than the newest badge.
