Used 2018 Nissan Altima for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2018 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 4.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,044 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise the smooth ride, good fuel economy, and spacious trunk, while the model’s comfort and technology features also come through as recurring strengths. For you, that makes this Altima a sensible pick if you want a roomy midsize sedan that emphasizes value and everyday usability over driving excitement. With 26.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to dependable day-to-day comfort, with many drivers highlighting the car’s smooth ride and practical usability over time. At the same time, some reviews mention transmission problems and maintenance concerns, so you should treat condition and service history as especially important on a used example. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is buying a car that has been poorly maintained or already showing wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

At 48.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the transmission, maintenance records, and signs of neglect inside and out. Because some owner feedback mentions cleanliness and battery issues, pay close attention to overall condition and how well the car has been cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,044 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,592, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $10,865 sits slightly below last year's $11,354.

That decline suggests the Altima is not holding value as strongly as some rivals, which can matter if you plan to sell in a few years. For you, that means the car may be a better buy than a long-term value-retention play. If resale matters most, buying at a lower entry price becomes even more important.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $13,553, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $10,865 average.
• It brings a major redesign with a more polished cabin and more modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the lower purchase price and are focused on value, the 2018 is the better starting point. If you can spend more and want the newer-generation upgrade, the 2019 is the stronger choice; price-sensitive buyers should stay with the 2018 and shop for a clean, well-documented example.
