What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport?

At 70.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for prior repairs, uneven panel gaps, and signs of wear that may not show up in photos. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 337 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,155, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport's resale value?

The current average of $12,155 sits slightly below last year's $13,905.

That price movement suggests the model has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend means your future resale value will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A clean, well-documented example should hold up better than one with accident history or visible wear.

Should I buy a 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.58% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a reasonable choice if you want a lower entry price and are willing to shop carefully for condition. If you’re more price-sensitive, compare it against nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the cheapest listing.
