How much does the 2018 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 7.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,480 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Pilot earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its great value, spaciousness, and driving comfort, and many also like the rear entertainment system and roomy interior. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a family-focused midsize SUV with everyday practicality and comfort. With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as reliable and trouble-free overall, with owners saying they feel good about its long-term dependability. The same reviews also point to a few recurring concerns, including radio sound quality and some mechanical issues such as emissions problems. For used buyers, that means the Pilot can be a reassuring ownership choice, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Pilot?

At 63.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if you want to catch signs of prior bodywork or unresolved mechanical issues. Focus on overall condition, maintenance consistency, and any evidence of emissions-related repairs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,480 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,055, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $18,074 sits slightly below last year's $19,640.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Pilot easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, condition and maintenance history will matter more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. A well-kept example should still hold appeal thanks to the model’s strong family-friendly reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $16,771, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $18,074 average.
• It offers a practical, family-friendly focus with spaciousness and available tech.

The bottom line: Choose the 2018 if you want the stronger overall value signal and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2017 is the better budget-oriented path.
