How much does the 2018 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have softened 3.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,945 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2018 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda CR-V earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the roomy interior, comfort, and good gas mileage, and they also like the useful feature set and available tech. For you, that makes it a practical compact SUV if you want everyday usability, a spacious cabin, and a well-rounded ownership experience. With 35.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to reliability, with owners repeatedly describing the CR-V as dependable and a vehicle they can count on over time. That matters if you want a used SUV that should be easier to live with day to day and less stressful to own long term.

For used buyers, the main risk is not the model’s reputation but the condition of the individual vehicle you choose.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda CR-V?

At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing has any accident or repair history. Focus closely on body condition, panel alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven maintenance so you can separate a clean example from one that has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,945 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,180, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $18,436 sits slightly below last year's $19,066.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, a clean history and strong condition will matter more because buyers tend to reward well-kept examples in a crowded used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $17,155, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $18,436 average.
• The redesign brought a major step forward in space and overall execution.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,332, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $18,436 average.
• It adds a more refined, well-rounded package with strong everyday appeal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the right pick if you want a well-liked CR-V with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used price than newer examples. If your budget is tighter, the 2017 is the value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling option, the 2019 is the upgrade path.
