How much does the 2018 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 3.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,851 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Accord earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, advanced technology, and ample interior space, and they also call out its sporty performance and luxurious feel in higher trims. That lines up with the Accord’s role as a midsize family sedan that still feels rewarding to drive, not just practical. With its all-new foundation and broad appeal as a commuter and family car, it fits you well if you want everyday usability with a more engaging character. 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels reliable, with praise centered on smooth operation, comfort, and the kind of dependable everyday use you want from a family sedan. The expert evaluation also describes it as reliable, roomy, efficient, and unpretentious, which reinforces that it is built to be a car you can count on over time. Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes also emphasize that the Accord packs a lot of features, refinement, and powertrain value for the money.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by hard use or neglected equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Accord?

At 49.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows uneven wear. Focus on condition details that matter in daily use, including interior wear, electronics, and how smoothly the drivetrain and brakes feel on a test drive. If you are comparing trims, pay close attention to which features are standard versus optional so you do not assume a lower-priced car includes the equipment you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Accord’s cabin is described as elegant and upscale, with impeccable materials and fit, but the base LX misses Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the top rear door panels use hard plastic instead of padded panels up front.
• Powertrain: The 1.5-liter turbo four makes 192 hp and is paired with a CVT, while the 2.0-liter turbo four makes 252 hp and uses a 10-speed automatic; the 2.0-liter is also available with a 6-speed manual in Sport trims.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing comes standard and includes auto-braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.
• Infotainment: Honda’s infotainment system is quick and easy to use, with a customizable home screen, Garmin navigation, and standard HondaLink. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims except the base LX.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5T with CVT is rated at 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway, while the 2.0T automatic is rated at 23 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.

Which 2018 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2018 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down choice because Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not standard here. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without some of the nicer tech features.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more appeal without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims. It is also one of the trims where the stronger 2.0-liter engine can be added, and blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport.
• EX: This trim is a smart middle ground if you want more comfort and convenience without going all the way to luxury-oriented versions. It also gets blind-spot monitoring when equipped with the 2.0T.
• EX-L: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale feel and more of the features that make the Accord feel premium. It is a strong choice if you care about refinement and want a more complete daily-driver experience.
• Touring: This is the top trim for shoppers who want the most equipment, including wireless device charging and the most fully featured presentation. It is the right choice if you want the most polished Accord and are willing to pay for it.

Honda Sensing comes standard on every trim, which is a major safety plus across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,851 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,543, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $17,824 sits slightly below last year's $18,507.

That softer pricing trend suggests the Accord has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help demand stay healthy if you decide to sell later. A lower entry price today may also make it easier for future shoppers to see value in a well-kept example. Because the model still has strong owner satisfaction, it should remain appealing in the used market if condition and mileage are competitive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord safe?

The 2018 Honda Accord is rated a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, scoring the highest in all five crash tests and a separate crash-avoidance test that measures the auto-braking system.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing comes standard and includes auto-braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. Auto high beams, LED low-beam headlights, a driver attention monitor, and a backup camera with three views also come standard. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above. A lower rating for the headlights kept the Accord from earning a Top Safety Pick+ rating.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2018 model is an all-new redesign with a more modern feel, stronger engineering focus, and a more rewarding driving character than many rivals.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, driving enjoyment, and broad appeal, the 2018 is the right year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can shop carefully for a lower-priced example, but the 2018’s redesign and strong owner satisfaction make it the better long-term pick.

How does the 2018 Honda Accord compare to the 2018 Toyota Camry?

Our experts score the 2018 Honda Accord 8.2/10 and the 2018 Toyota Camry 8/10.

The Accord is the better choice if you want a more engaging driving experience and a more upscale-feeling cabin, while the Camry edges it on highway fuel economy and a slightly higher share of good and great deals. The Accord also has more listings available, which gives you more room to compare trims and condition. If you value driving feel and interior polish, the Accord has the advantage; if you want a slightly more efficient highway cruiser, the Camry is worth a look.
