How much does the 2018 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 4.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,792 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Accord earns a 4.72/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, advanced technology, and ample interior space. The overview also points to a midsize family sedan that is practical, efficient, and more engaging to drive than many rivals, so you get a car that works well for commuting and still feels rewarding behind the wheel. Good and great deals make up 32.8% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.72/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a reliable, dependable, and trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers appreciating the car’s smooth ride and overall ease of living with it. The expert summary also describes the Accord as reliable, roomy, efficient, and unpretentious, reinforcing the sense that this is a car built for long-term use. Honda Sensing comes standard, and the Accord’s broad feature set helps it feel well thought out for everyday ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained properly and hasn’t picked up hidden wear from prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Accord?

At 50.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had prior damage or multiple owners. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and how well the car’s electronics, driver aids, and transmission behave in real-world use. Because some versions were missing features that others had, it’s worth confirming the exact equipment on the car you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from the more basic LX to better-equipped trims with more upscale materials and features. The base version is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment, while higher trims add a more premium feel and more convenience content.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 1.5-liter turbo four and a 2.0-liter turbo four. The 1.5T is the efficiency play, while the 2.0T brings stronger performance and a more muscular feel.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing comes standard and includes auto-braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, a driver attention monitor, and a backup camera with three views. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.
• Infotainment: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims except the base LX. HondaLink comes standard, and the system also offers quick response, customizable menus, and available navigation with map updates.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5T with CVT is rated at 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway, while the 2.0T automatic is rated at 23 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.

Which 2018 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2018 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it’s also the trim most likely to feel stripped down because Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not standard here. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and can live without some of the nicer tech and convenience features.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more appealing mix of equipment and personality without jumping too far up the price ladder. If you want the Accord to feel a little more engaging and better equipped, this is the trim to focus on first.
• EX: This trim is the smart step up if you want more comfort and convenience without going all the way to the pricier upper trims. It’s a good middle ground for shoppers who want a more complete daily driver.
• EX-L: This is the right choice if you want a more upscale feel and more premium features. It suits you best if comfort and refinement matter more than keeping the purchase price as low as possible.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, aimed at buyers who want the most features and the most polished experience. It’s the trim to choose if you want the Accord at its most complete.

Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,792 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 50.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,546, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $17,928 sits slightly below last year's $18,677.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can be helpful if you’re buying now but less favorable if you’re planning to sell soon. A softer market usually means future sellers may need to price more competitively to attract attention. Even so, the Accord’s strong reputation and broad appeal should help it remain a desirable used car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.72/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord safe?

The 2018 Honda Accord is rated a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, scoring the highest in all five crash tests and a separate crash-avoidance test that measures the auto-braking system.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing comes standard on every Accord and includes auto-braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. Auto high beams, LED low-beam headlights, a driver attention monitor, and a backup camera with three views also come standard. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.

A lower rating for the headlights kept the Accord from earning a Top Safety Pick+ rating, so that’s the main safety caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2018 model is an all-new version with a fresh foundation, and the expert summary emphasizes its reliable, roomy, efficient, and driver-friendly character.

The bottom line: The 2018 Accord is the right pick if you want the newer redesign, strong owner satisfaction, and a broad mix of comfort, tech, and driving appeal. If you’re mainly chasing the lowest possible price, a nearby year may be worth a look, but the 2018 remains the more compelling choice if you want the better-balanced package.
