How much does the 2018 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 3.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,858 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare by trim, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Accord earns a 4.72/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, advanced technology, and ample interior space. The overview also points to a roomy, practical midsize sedan with a more engaging driving character than many rivals, so you get everyday usefulness without giving up driver appeal. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.72/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a car that feels reliable, with praise for its smooth ride and the kind of dependable, trouble-free ownership experience shoppers usually want from a family sedan. The expert summary also describes it as reliable, roomy, efficient, and unpretentious, which reinforces that this is a model built to be counted on over time. Honda also includes maintenance reminders through HondaLink, which can help you stay on top of routine service.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the Accord’s core reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Accord?

At 50% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for signs of uneven wear, incomplete repairs, or missing equipment. It also makes sense to focus on condition differences between trims, since some versions were better equipped than others.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Accord’s cabin is described as elegant and upscale for the class, with materials and fit that feel more premium than the price suggests. The base LX misses Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so if those features matter to you, you’ll want to shop above the entry trim.
• Powertrain: The 2018 Accord uses turbocharged 4-cylinder engines, with a 1.5-liter turbo in lower trims and a 2.0-liter turbo in higher trims. The 2.0-liter brings stronger performance and a 10-speed automatic, while the 1.5-liter is the more efficiency-focused choice.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing comes standard on every Accord and includes auto-braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.
• Infotainment: Honda’s infotainment system is faster and easier to use than earlier versions, and the screen can be customized. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims except the base LX, and wireless device charging is standard on the Touring and optional on other trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5T with the CVT is rated at 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway, while the 2.0T automatic is rated at 23 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.

Which 2018 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2018 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it leaves out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so it makes the most sense only if you want the lowest purchase price and can live without those conveniences.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more appealing feature mix and can be paired with the stronger 2.0-liter engine and a 6-speed manual. It’s the trim to target if you want the Accord’s more engaging side without jumping all the way to the top.
• EX: This trim adds more comfort and convenience while also bringing blind-spot monitoring, making it a smart middle-ground choice if you want a better-equipped daily driver.
• EX-L: This is the right pick if you want a more upscale feel and more premium equipment without going to the highest-priced version.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, with the most luxury and technology content, plus wireless device charging standard.

Honda Sensing comes standard across the lineup, so you’re getting the core safety suite no matter which trim you choose.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Accord?

The market looks selective but workable for a buyer who is ready to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,858 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 50.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,544, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $17,841 sits slightly below last year's $18,526.

That softer pricing suggests the model has moved into a more buyer-friendly phase, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than average, especially if they present clean history and strong maintenance records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.72/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord safe?

The 2018 Honda Accord is rated a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, scoring the highest in all five crash tests and a separate crash-avoidance test that measures the auto-braking system.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing comes standard on every Accord and includes auto-braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. Auto high beams, LED low-beam headlights, a driver attention monitor, and a backup camera with three views also come standard. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the 2.0T Sport and EX trims and above.

A lower rating for the headlights kept the Accord from earning a Top Safety Pick+ rating, so that’s the main caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Prices have softened 3.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The all-new 2018 redesign gives you a fresh foundation, and the expert summary highlights its reliable, roomy, efficient character with a rewarding connection between car and driver.

The bottom line: If you want the newer redesign with strong owner satisfaction and a market that still offers some negotiating room, the 2018 is a solid choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example lands closer to your budget.
