How much does the 2018 GMC Yukon cost?

Is the 2018 GMC Yukon a good car?

Generally — the 4.29/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its comfort, spaciousness, and luxurious feel, and the overview frames it as a roomy, well-appointed full-size SUV with a premium feel and understated styling. That makes it a strong fit if you want a large family hauler with a more restrained luxury look rather than something flashy. With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2018 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 4.29/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a vehicle that owners often find dependable in day-to-day use, with comfort and spaciousness showing up as recurring positives. That kind of feedback matters for a large SUV you may keep for years, especially if you want something you can count on for family duty and regular driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history should carry real weight.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 GMC Yukon?

At 65.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on the body, suspension, interior wear, and any signs of uneven repair quality. Because this model is often bought for comfort and family use, you should focus on overall condition and maintenance consistency rather than just mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,741 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,596, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $24,601 sits slightly below last year's $27,765.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and documentation than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because buyers still respond to this model's comfort and upscale feel.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.29/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.29/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want a roomy, comfortable, upscale-feeling Yukon and you can verify a clean, well-maintained example. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth considering, but the 2018 stands out as the better-balanced choice when you want strong owner satisfaction and a market that currently favors careful shoppers.
