How much does the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices have softened 13.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,443 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spaciousness and comfort, and many also appreciate the extra features it offers. That lines up well with its role as a full-size SUV built for carrying a lot of people and a lot of cargo, especially if you want a family-focused vehicle with serious utility. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding attractive pricing.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many people find dependable and trouble-free enough to keep recommending, especially when it has been maintained well over time. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s basic appeal and more about how carefully a specific example was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Chevrolet Suburban?

At 55.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and mechanical condition, since a large SUV like this can hide wear that matters more than mileage alone. Focus on signs of uneven panel gaps, interior abuse, and any evidence that the vehicle was used hard for towing or family hauling.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Suburban?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,443 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,652, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $19,652 sits slightly below last year's $22,792.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may want to focus on a well-kept example with strong equipment and clean history, since those traits tend to help preserve value better than a bare-bones or heavily worn vehicle. The good news is that demand should remain steady for shoppers who need a full-size SUV with real space and capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and proven owner satisfaction, the 2018 is a sensible primary choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example offers more value for only a small increase in cost.
