Is the 2018 Audi Q7 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise centered on the vehicle’s luxury, space, and performance. That kind of positive long-term sentiment suggests you’re more likely to be satisfied if you prioritize a well-kept example. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about how carefully a specific vehicle has been maintained over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Audi Q7?

At 70.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your checklist, especially for signs of bodywork, uneven wear, or repair quality. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a well-kept example is likely to be the better long-term buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi Q7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,684 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,061, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $16,061 sits slightly below last year's $18,311.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make future resale a little more sensitive to condition, mileage, and maintenance history. If you buy now, your best protection against depreciation is choosing a clean, well-documented example at a strong purchase price. A lower entry cost can help offset some of the value loss you may see later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,023, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $16,061 average.
• The redesign brings more space and a lighter, more modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2018 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the more budget-friendly alternative and may be worth a closer look.
