Is the 2018 Audi A4 a good car?

It also fits well if you want a well-rounded compact luxury sedan with everyday usability and a premium feature set. With 36.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2018 Audi A4 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners describing it as a car they enjoy living with over time. That combination of satisfaction, comfort, and confidence suggests lower anxiety for used buyers who want a luxury sedan they can count on. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Audi A4?

At 58.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, paint matching, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past collision work. Because this model is a premium sedan, you should also focus on overall condition, since neglected maintenance can be more costly to sort out later.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi A4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,040 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,467, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $15,467 sits slightly below last year's $16,655.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example with desirable equipment and clean history should hold up better than a rougher one. Strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $13,330, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $15,467 average.
• It feels especially forward-looking and modern for its redesign year.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2018 is the stronger primary choice because it combines strong owner satisfaction with a sizable inventory and a softer price trend. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2017 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
