How much does the 2018 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 5.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,114 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, features, and smooth driving experience, and many also highlight the spacious interior and advanced technology. That makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row luxury SUV that balances family practicality with a refined daily drive. With 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding attractive pricing.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on over time. Comfort and smooth operation come up repeatedly, which usually matters most when you plan to keep a used SUV for years. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how well each individual example has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Acura MDX?

At 63% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on bodywork, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that can hint at prior repairs. It also makes sense to focus on interior condition and feature operation, since this model’s value is tied closely to comfort and equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,114 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,113, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $19,439 sits slightly below last year's $20,567.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit softer, which can work against you if you plan to sell soon. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help you limit depreciation exposure if you buy well. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment will matter more when it comes time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,556, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $19,439 average.
• It feels like a more mature, well-developed version of the MDX.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2019 is the better secondary path, especially if you want to compare a more mature version of the same formula.
