How much does the 2018 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 6.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,094 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the comfort, features, and smooth driving experience, and they also highlight the spacious interior and advanced technology. In practical terms, that lines up well with a three-row luxury SUV that’s meant to serve as a family hauler with a premium feel. With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort and smooth driving over the long term. That kind of response suggests the MDX has earned trust from people who plan to keep it for a while. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how well a specific example has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Acura MDX?

At 62.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus your condition check on signs of past repairs, uneven wear, and anything that suggests the vehicle’s premium features or family-use practicality may have been compromised.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,094 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.28% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,119, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $19,134 sits slightly below last year's $20,416.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that value retention will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the vehicle has a clean history. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers looking for a premium three-row SUV at a more accessible price point.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,210, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $19,134 average.
• It builds on the same proven formula with a more refined, familiar character.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2018 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2019 is the better secondary path for buyers who want to stay closer to the next year’s pricing and refinement.
