Why it stands out
The 2017 Toyota Corolla has been a staple in the compact car market for decades, primarily due to its strong reputation for reliability and fuel efficiency. This year, it celebrates its 50th anniversary with updated looks and features, including new standard safety technology such as Toyota Safety Sense P. Enhancements to the front-end design and a special anniversary trim cater to buyers seeking style alongside functionality. Though the Corolla is praised for its comfortable ride quality, it can feel sluggish compared to competitors, with a 1.8-liter engine producing only 132 horsepower. Despite its performance limitations, the Corolla remains appealing thanks to a well-appointed interior and a respectable safety rating for its price point, though concerns about braking distance and engine refinement might discourage some buyers.

Great car. Mine gets an average of 37 mpg! Very comfortable and spacious even for a tall guy. Still has a decent amount of trunk space too. Love my Corolla.
