Used 2017 Toyota Avalon for Sale near Ohio

How much does the 2017 Toyota Avalon cost?

Prices have softened 2.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 254 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare before you commit.

Is the 2017 Toyota Avalon a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating suggests you should feel confident considering it if you want a well-liked used sedan. That score points to strong owner satisfaction, which matters when you're trying to balance comfort, value, and everyday livability. With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Toyota Avalon reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

That kind of owner feedback suggests the car has a solid reputation among people who have lived with it, which can reduce the risk of disappointment for used buyers. Still, you should focus on maintenance history and overall condition, since those factors matter more as the car ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Toyota Avalon?

At 57.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether reported damage was minor or more serious. Put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your checklist, especially for bodywork, alignment, and signs of uneven wear. If a car looks clean on paper, make sure the interior, paint, and mechanical condition all match the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Toyota Avalon?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right listing appears, but you should still compare carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 254 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,199, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Toyota Avalon's resale value?

The current average of $18,546 sits slightly below last year's $18,927.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays steady. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter a lot, because well-kept examples tend to stand out when prices are moving only modestly. A clean history and strong maintenance records can help you protect more of your value at trade-in time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Toyota Avalon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $17,095, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $18,546 average.
• It offers a comfort-focused, refined driving experience with strong owner appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and are comfortable shopping carefully for a clean example. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2016 is the better value path, especially if you find one with a strong history and condition report.
