Used 2017 Subaru WRX STI for Sale nearGreensboro, NC

How much does the 2017 Subaru WRX STI cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 230 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Subaru WRX STI a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Subaru WRX STI earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a focused, rally-inspired performance sedan with standard all-wheel drive, a turbocharged setup, and a six-speed manual, so you get a car built around enthusiast driving rather than comfort-first commuting. The tradeoff is that it is firm-riding and not especially refined, but that is part of its appeal if you want a raw, capable, all-weather performance sedan. 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Subaru WRX STI reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2017 Subaru WRX STI is built around a focused performance formula with standard all-wheel drive, a turbocharged engine, and driver-adjustable traction settings, which gives it a durable enthusiast identity. Its appeal comes from serious hardware and everyday usability rather than luxury, so you should expect a car that is purpose-built and mechanically involved. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is most likely to come from how hard the car was driven and maintained, so condition and service history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Subaru WRX STI?

At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic who knows performance cars. Focus on signs of hard use, uneven wear, and any evidence that the car was modified, tracked, or poorly maintained. Because this model is built for enthusiast driving, condition matters as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Subaru WRX STI?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 230 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,015, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Subaru WRX STI's resale value?

The current average of $22,127 sits slightly above last year's $22,011.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For you as a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can help preserve value if your car is clean, well maintained, and presented well. A model with steady demand and a clear enthusiast following is usually easier to resell than one with a softer market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Subaru WRX STI or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing stability, enthusiast appeal, and owner satisfaction, the 2017 is a solid primary choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on nearby years and compare condition closely, since the best value may come from the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than the newest badge.
