Used 2017 Subaru WRX STI for Sale nearAnniston, AL

How much does the 2017 Subaru WRX STI cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 240 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Subaru WRX STI a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the model’s rally-inspired performance focus gives you a distinctive all-wheel-drive sedan with real daily-driver usefulness. The overview also highlights a practical side, with equipment like a 7-inch navigation screen, Bluetooth, automatic climate control, and aux inputs, so you get more than just performance hardware. If you want something fast, capable in poor weather, and still usable every day, this model year fits that brief well. 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Subaru WRX STI reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview emphasizes a serious performance setup built around Subaru’s rally identity, standard all-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual, which suggests a durable enthusiast-focused formula rather than a fragile novelty. At the same time, the car’s rough ride, cheap interior materials, and tight back seat show that it was engineered with performance first, not comfort or luxury. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a car that has been driven hard or maintained inconsistently, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Subaru WRX STI?

At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a shop that knows performance cars. Focus on signs of hard use, uneven wear, and any evidence that the car has been modified, repaired poorly, or maintained inconsistently. Because this model is performance-oriented, condition and maintenance history should matter more to you than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Subaru WRX STI?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

If you find a listing below $21,023, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Subaru WRX STI's resale value?

The current average of $21,971 sits slightly above last year's $21,856.

That small increase suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate your exit value and avoid the sharp depreciation swings that hurt some performance cars. Because demand tends to stay healthier for cars with strong enthusiast appeal, this model year should remain relatively easy to position in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Subaru WRX STI or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want the WRX STI’s rally-inspired character, all-wheel-drive capability, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
