Review feedback also points to a reliable, dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the car’s strong performance and the confidence that comes from a model many buyers feel they can count on. That said, used-car reliability still depends on how the previous owner maintained the car, so a well-kept example is the safer long-term bet.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan 370Z?

At 51.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic who can check for signs of prior damage or poor repairs. Focus closely on body panels, alignment, tire wear, and any evidence that the car has been driven hard or modified. Because this is a sports car, condition matters as much as mileage, so a clean, well-documented example is worth waiting for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan 370Z?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 22.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 147 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,841, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan 370Z's resale value?

The current average of $22,456 sits slightly below last year's $23,294.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests future resale gains may be limited unless you choose a particularly clean, well-kept example. For a future seller, condition and documentation will matter a lot because buyers in this segment tend to reward cars that look and feel cared for. A strong service history and accident-free record can help you stand out when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 22.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the 370Z’s classic, driver-first formula and you value a strong owner satisfaction record, the 2017 is a solid year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the newest badge alone.
