The 2017 refresh also brought a meaningful technology update. Mercedes added updated exterior styling, LED headlights, automatic emergency braking, keyless entry, ambient interior lighting, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The car also used a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and its cabin featured Mercedes’ MBUX infotainment system with an 11.9-inch screen. The trunk is modest at 7.2 cubic feet with the top down and three more cubes with the top up, so cargo space is not a strong point. It is also a complex car, and some owners note that certain systems can be tricky to use.
