Used 2017 Mazda CX-3 for Sale nearDallas, TX

How much does the 2017 Mazda CX-3 cost?

Prices are up 4.16% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 294 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Mazda CX-3 a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the overview frames the CX-3 as a compact crossover that emphasizes style and driving enjoyment over maximum space. That makes it a good fit if you want a nimble, carlike SUV with Mazda’s sporty character and a more distinctive feel than many small crossovers. 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Mazda CX-3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle with a clear identity: compact, stylish, and focused on driving enjoyment rather than excess complexity. For used buyers, that usually means your long-term ownership risk is less about the concept and more about finding a well-kept example with consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Mazda CX-3?

At 60.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body panels, alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven repair quality. Because the CX-3 is valued for its compact, stylish packaging, condition matters a lot when you’re judging whether a specific car still feels tight and well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Mazda CX-3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 294 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.16% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 60.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,430, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Mazda CX-3's resale value?

The current average of $14,841 sits slightly above last year's $14,248.

That upward move suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year. If you buy carefully and keep the car in strong condition, you should have a decent chance of preserving value better than a vehicle with weaker demand. The CX-3’s compact size and sporty positioning help it stay appealing to shoppers who want a small crossover with personality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.16% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,119, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,841 average.
• It adds standard low-speed emergency braking and a quieter cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2017 is the stronger starting point because pricing is lower and deal availability is decent. If you’re willing to pay more for added refinement and standard safety upgrades, the 2018 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize those improvements over upfront cost.
