Is the 2017 Lexus GS a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year.

That level of feedback suggests you may find a well-liked used sedan, and 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which adds some shopping flexibility.

Is the 2017 Lexus GS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can be reassuring, but you should still focus on maintenance records and overall condition to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lexus GS?

At 54% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and prioritize cars with clean records and consistent service documentation. A pre-purchase inspection is especially valuable here, since condition and repair quality can matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lexus GS?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 176 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,702, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lexus GS's resale value?

The current average of $23,518 sits slightly below last year's $23,806.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the recent softening suggests resale gains may be limited unless the car is especially clean, well maintained, and attractively priced. Strong condition and a solid ownership history should matter more if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Lexus GS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.21% compared with last year.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want a model year with solid owner satisfaction and some room to negotiate. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and be ready to move quickly when a clean, well-priced car appears.
