For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should pay close attention to condition and maintenance history, especially on higher-mileage examples.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 INFINITI QX60?

At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and mechanical condition so you can separate a clean, well-kept example from one that has been repaired or neglected. Because this model is aimed at family use, it also makes sense to focus on wear items that reflect daily life, like seat condition, controls, and overall cabin upkeep.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base FWD trim starts at $43,100, while the AWD trim starts at $44,900 before extras. The cabin is described as comfortable and well thought out, with large, easy-to-use buttons, soft-touch materials, sharp wood and metallic accents, and a premium look that helps the QX60 feel upscale. The base setup already leans luxury, but the available features can push it much higher.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.5-liter V6 makes 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and either front-wheel drive or available AWD. The engine is described as strong and responsive, with acceleration that comes on hard across a wide range of speeds.
• Safety package: Available driver assistance includes forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning with rear cross-path detection, and predictive forward-collision warning. Standard safety equipment includes front and side impact airbags, front and rear crumple-zone architecture, the LATCH child-seat anchoring system, and electronic brakeforce distribution.
• Infotainment: The QX60 uses an easy-to-use infotainment system with large buttons and redundant controls. The Theater Package adds a pair of 8-inch seatback monitors, two sets of headphones, one remote, an HDMI port for the rear screens, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. An available hands-free power liftgate is also a useful convenience feature.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD versions return 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, while AWD versions return 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.

Which 2017 INFINITI QX60 trim should I buy?

The 2017 INFINITI QX60 is offered in 2 trim levels: base FWD trim and AWD trim.

Here's the short version:

• base FWD trim: This is the lower-cost entry point, and it gives you the QX60’s core luxury-family formula at the lowest starting price. It’s the best-value choice if you want the roomy cabin, strong V6, and upscale feel without paying extra for AWD.
• AWD trim: Choose this if you want all-wheel drive and are willing to pay more for it. It adds traction-focused capability while keeping the same basic comfort-and-luxury mission intact.

Safety content also notes that the available driver-assistance features include forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning with rear cross-path detection, and predictive forward-collision warning.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 INFINITI QX60?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 537 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,640, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 INFINITI QX60's resale value?

The current average of $11,640 sits slightly below last year's $13,057.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the QX60 more attractive to used buyers today but less favorable for a future seller trying to recover a higher purchase price. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation from here. The key for resale will be finding a clean, well-kept example that still presents as a premium family SUV.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 INFINITI QX60 safe?

The 2017 INFINITI QX60 earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It is available with forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning with rear cross-path detection, and predictive forward-collision warning. Standard safety equipment includes front and side impact airbags, front and rear crumple-zone architecture, the LATCH child-seat anchoring system, and electronic brakeforce distribution.

One thing to keep in mind is that the available safety tech is a strength, but you should still verify which features are present on the specific used vehicle you’re considering, since equipment can vary by trim and option package.

Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI QX60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2017 model benefits from a roomy, comfortable luxury-SUV formula with a car-based platform that helps it feel surprisingly nimble.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a smart pick if you want a spacious luxury SUV with strong value and a softer used-car price than it had a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years, but the 2017 remains appealing because it combines comfort, technology, and family-friendly practicality in a way that still feels competitive.

How does the 2017 INFINITI QX60 compare to the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder?

Our experts score the 2017 INFINITI QX60 7.8/10 and the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder 7.8/10. The QX60 leans more upscale, with a stronger luxury feel, more premium cabin presentation, and a higher-output V6.
