How much does the 2017 INFINITI QX30 cost?

Prices have softened 11.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 222 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 INFINITI QX30 a good car?

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a compact luxury crossover with style and a polished driving feel. It earns a 3.67/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise the smooth driving experience, attractive design, advanced features, and beautiful interior. The QX30 also fits buyers who want something that feels different from a traditional SUV, since its shape and packaging give it a more wagon-like character.

Only 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you may need to shop carefully to find the best value.

Is the 2017 INFINITI QX30 reliable?

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 is built around a Mercedes-Benz-supplied platform, and that unusual hardware mix helps explain why it feels more premium than its price might suggest. Owners describe it as smooth and attractive, and the expert review notes that it can move well and corner strongly once you get past the soft pedal tuning.

The ownership picture is still one you should approach carefully. The user feedback points to a car that feels refined and enjoyable, but the same feedback also highlights some frustrations with the entertainment setup and manual seat controls, which can affect day-to-day satisfaction over time.

If you’re shopping used, focus on condition, electronics, and how well the car has been maintained, since a luxury crossover with this kind of packaging can become more expensive to live with if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 INFINITI QX30?

At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows signs of uneven wear. Pay close attention to interior condition, electronics, and how the car drives at low speeds, since those are the kinds of areas that can reveal whether a used luxury crossover has been cared for properly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Base trim comes with LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth seats, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a backup camera, while the Sport adds 19-inch wheels, unique fascias, upgraded brakes, suspension and exhaust finishers, and Dinamica sport seats and trim. The Premium adds leather seating, power/heated front seats, and folding mirrors, and the Luxury adds a Bose 10-speaker audio system, rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lights, and heated windshield washers.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 makes 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, with front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The FWD model is rated at 24 mpg city, 33 highway, 27 combined, while the AWD model is rated at 21 mpg city, 30 highway, 25 combined.
• Safety package: The available Technology Package adds blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, a surround-view monitor with parking sensors, and Intelligent Cruise Control++. The package is a meaningful upgrade if you want more driver assistance.
• Infotainment: The QX30 uses an older single-screen touchscreen system with a basic center-console controller. It does not rely on the frustrating dual-screen setup found in some other Infiniti models, and the touchscreen itself is a practical advantage.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD model returns 24 mpg city, 33 highway, 27 combined, and the AWD model returns 21 mpg city, 30 highway, 25 combined.

Which 2017 INFINITI QX30 trim should I buy?

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Luxury, Premium, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but it still gives you LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a backup camera. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra comfort and audio upgrades.
• Luxury: This is the top trim and adds the Bose 10-speaker audio system, rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lights, and heated windshield washers on top of Premium equipment. It’s the best fit if you want the most complete luxury experience.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds leather seating, power/heated front seats, and folding mirrors without jumping all the way to the top trim. It’s the sweet spot if you want a more upscale cabin without overpaying.
• Sport: This FWD-only trim adds 19-inch wheels, unique front and rear fascias, upgraded brakes, suspension and exhaust finishers, and Dinamica sport seats and trim. Choose it if you want the most distinctive appearance and a more aggressive setup.

The available Technology Package adds blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, a surround-view monitor with parking sensors, and Intelligent Cruise Control++.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 INFINITI QX30?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, but the best examples still deserve quick attention.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 222 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,397, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 INFINITI QX30's resale value?

The current average of $11,646 sits slightly below last year's $13,159.

That decline suggests the QX30 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be good news if you’re buying used. For a future seller, though, it means resale value may continue to be pressured unless the car is especially clean, well equipped, and documented.

If you plan to sell later, condition and history will matter a lot. A well-kept example with desirable equipment should hold up better than one with accident history or visible wear.

Is the 2017 INFINITI QX30 safe?

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 earns Top Safety Pick+ recognition from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The available Technology Package adds blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, a surround-view monitor with parking sensors, and Intelligent Cruise Control++. That package meaningfully expands the QX30’s driver-assistance coverage, and it’s especially useful if you drive in traffic or tight urban spaces.

Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI QX30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.49% compared with last year.
• The expert review highlights a compact crossover with strong cornering, a distinctive design, and a value advantage from its Infiniti infotainment setup.

The bottom line: The 2017 QX30 makes the most sense if you want a stylish compact luxury crossover and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you’re price-sensitive, the softened market and decent inventory make this a reasonable time to buy, but you should prioritize the cleanest example you can find rather than chasing the cheapest listing.
