How much does the 2017 INFINITI QX30 cost?

Prices have softened 8.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 213 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 INFINITI QX30 a good car?

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a compact luxury crossover with style and personality, and it earns a 3.7/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise the smooth driving experience, attractive design, advanced features, and beautiful interior. In practical terms, that lines up well with its elevated crossover stance and the way it blends a distinctive look with a more carlike feel.

You should also weigh the tradeoffs: limited trunk space and some frustrations with manual seat controls and the entertainment setup are recurring complaints. Even so, the QX30 can make sense if you value style, features, and a premium cabin more than maximum cargo utility.

34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 INFINITI QX30 reliable?

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 is presented as a road-going luxury crossover with a smooth driving experience, and owners also describe it as dependable and trouble-free in the ways that matter for everyday use.

The expert evaluation also points to a powertrain that can move well once it gets into its stride, with strong cornering and a suspension setup that feels more sorted than the related Mercedes-based hardware might suggest. That supports the idea that you can count on it for regular driving if you choose a well-kept example.

If the available maintenance package is part of the deal, it adds a small ownership perk that can help early service costs. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is buying one with neglected maintenance or hidden wear, so condition and service history matter more than the badge.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 INFINITI QX30?

At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any prior collision. Focus on body alignment, panel fit, tire wear, and how the cabin electronics and driver aids function in real-world use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Base trim comes standard with LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, auto-dimming/heated side mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth seats, Bluetooth hands-free calling and streaming audio, 2 USB ports, and a backup camera. The Premium adds leather seating, power/heated front seats, and side mirrors that fold down when in reverse. The Luxury adds a Bose 10-speaker audio system, rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lights, and heated windshield washers. The Sport gets 19-inch alloy wheels, unique front and rear fascias, upgraded brakes, suspension and exhaust finishers, and Dinamica sport seats and trim.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 makes 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on some trims, and all-wheel drive is available on others. The FWD model returns 24 mpg city, 33 highway, and 27 combined, while the AWD model is rated at 21 mpg city, 30 highway, and 25 combined.
• Safety package: The available Technology Package adds blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, and a surround-view monitor with parking sensors. It also includes Intelligent Cruise Control++, which can operate in stop-and-go traffic. The package is not standard, so you should confirm whether a listing has it.
• Infotainment: The QX30 uses an older single-screen touchscreen system with a basic center-console controller. The setup is easy to use and lets you physically touch icons on the screen, and the test vehicle also had an LED package with interior ambient lighting, automatic high beams, and headlights that turn with the wheel.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD model is rated at 24 mpg city, 33 highway, and 27 combined; the AWD model is rated at 21 mpg city, 30 highway, and 25 combined.

Which 2017 INFINITI QX30 trim should I buy?

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Luxury, Premium, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the value starting point if you want the QX30’s core style and standard equipment without stretching the budget. It already includes LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, 2 USB ports, and a backup camera.
• Luxury: This is the best-value upgrade if you want the most comfort and convenience for the money. It builds on the Premium with a Bose 10-speaker audio system, rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lights, and heated windshield washers.
• Premium: Choose this if you want leather seating and power/heated front seats without jumping all the way to the top trim. It adds a more upscale feel while staying below the Luxury’s extra equipment.
• Sport: Pick this only if you specifically want the sportier appearance and chassis tuning. It adds 19-inch wheels, unique fascias, upgraded brakes, suspension and exhaust finishers, and Dinamica sport seats and trim.

The available Technology Package adds blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, and a surround-view monitor with parking sensors, so it is worth seeking out on any trim you consider.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 INFINITI QX30?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 213 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,397, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 INFINITI QX30's resale value?

The current average of $11,837 sits slightly below last year's $12,929.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the car has a clean history.

Because the price trend has softened, a well-kept QX30 may still hold up reasonably well relative to its segment, but a rough example will likely be discounted quickly. For future sellers, that means maintenance records and accident-free history will matter a lot when it is time to list the car.

Is the 2017 INFINITI QX30 safe?

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with a full array of front and side-impact airbags, the LATCH child-seat anchoring system, Vehicle Dynamic Control, traction control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The available Technology Package adds blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, and a surround-view monitor with parking sensors. It also includes Intelligent Cruise Control++, which can help in stop-and-go traffic.

Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI QX30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.45% compared with last year.
• It offers a distinctive Mercedes-based platform, strong expert safety scoring, and a cabin and driving feel that stand out from more conventional small luxury crossovers.

The bottom line: If you want the QX30’s style, features, and driving character at a lower used price, the 2017 is the right place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, focus on the cleanest, best-documented example you can find rather than chasing the cheapest listing.
