At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,993 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,022, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $15,789 sits slightly below last year's $16,538.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For you as a seller, the upside is that the Odyssey’s strong reputation for practicality and family use should help keep demand steady. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.53% compared with last year.

Consider the 2016 if:

• It emphasizes comfort, features, and family-friendly flexibility.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,202, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $15,789 average.
• It adds more features, better handling, improved versatility, and more power.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the balanced choice if you want strong owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and broad family usefulness. If your priority is saving money, the 2016 is the better value path; if you want more refinement and upgrades, the 2018 is the step up to consider.
