Summary

Why it stands out
The 2017 Honda Accord stands out as a well-rounded midsize sedan that leans on refinement, practicality, and a strong reputation for reliability. It offers a comfortable interior, a smooth driving experience, and the kind of everyday usability that has long made the Accord a benchmark in its class. Buyers also get a car that is known for good fuel economy and a stylish design, which helps it feel appealing without giving up the sensible character that defines the model.
What makes the 2017 Accord especially distinctive is how much it balances comfort with driver appeal. The Accord’s roomy cabin and easy-to-use layout make it a strong family choice, while its reputation for dependable transportation adds peace of mind. At the same time, it remains a car that many owners enjoy driving, rather than merely tolerating. Some shoppers may wish for more power in certain trims, and the audio system may not be as easy to upgrade as they would like, but those drawbacks do little to diminish the Accord’s broad appeal as a practical, polished sedan.

How much does the 2017 Honda Accord cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $15,294 |
| Year-Round Low | $14,982 |
| Year-Round High | $15,999 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $16,004 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −4.44% |

There are 3,397 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.
Is the 2017 Honda Accord a good car?
Yes — the 2017 Honda Accord earns a 4.52/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth driving experience, great fuel economy, and stylish design, and many also value its comfortable interior. That mix fits well if you want a practical midsize sedan that still feels pleasant to live with every day. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.
Is the 2017 Honda Accord reliable?
Owners rate it 4.52/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Drivers repeatedly describe it as reliable, and the feedback also highlights dependable transportation and a trouble-free ownership experience. The combination of reliability and comfort matters if you want a used sedan you can count on for daily driving and longer-term use. For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership stress, though condition and maintenance history still matter.
What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Honda Accord?
At 48.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if a listing looks unusually well priced. Put inspection priority on body condition, repair quality, and signs of inconsistent wear that could point to past damage. Focus on the overall condition of the car, not just the mileage or asking price.

What is the 2017 Honda Accord's resale value?
The current average of $15,294 sits slightly below last year's $16,004.
That softer pricing can help you buy with less downside risk if you plan to sell later. If the market stays steady, a lower entry price can make it easier to preserve value over your ownership period. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep demand healthy when it is time to resell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.52/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
