How much does the 2017 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 4.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,430 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 4.52/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth driving experience, great fuel economy, and comfortable interior, while the model’s practical, roomy layout makes it easy to live with day to day. If you want a well-rounded midsize sedan that emphasizes comfort and efficiency over flash, this Accord fits that use case well. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.52/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights reliability, and the broader ownership story centers on dependable transportation and trouble-free everyday use. That kind of reputation matters when you’re shopping used, because it suggests the car has a track record buyers can count on. For used-car shoppers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific example has been maintained well and doesn’t have hidden wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Honda Accord?

At 48.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of past repairs so you can judge whether the car’s value matches its history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda Accord?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s-market discount.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,430 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,991, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $15,306 sits slightly below last year's $16,068.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter even more because they help your car stand out in a crowded used market. A well-kept example should still hold buyer interest, especially given the model’s strong reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.52/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.52/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,414, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $15,306 average.
• It adds improvements while remaining broadly strong and practical.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,961, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $15,306 average.
• It brings an all-new design with more advanced tech and a more engaging drive.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the best fit if you want a balanced mix of value, comfort, and strong owner satisfaction without stretching into the pricier next year. If your budget is tighter, the 2016 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling Accord and can spend more, the 2018 is the upgrade path to consider.
