How much does the 2017 GMC Yukon cost?

There are 1,602 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 4.89/5 user rating points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, strong performance, and luxurious features, and many also see it as a good value compared with rivals. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want a large family hauler with a roomy cabin and a premium feel. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the Yukon feels dependable, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on over time. That said, used buyers should still think about long-term ownership risk in the usual way for a large SUV: verify maintenance history and make sure the specific example has been cared for consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 GMC Yukon?

At 62% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of wear, prior bodywork, and any issues that could affect long-term ownership. Focus on overall condition and maintenance documentation, since those factors matter more when you are choosing among many similar listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,602 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,724, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $21,834 sits slightly below last year's $23,983.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale upside may be more limited than it was a year ago, so condition and maintenance history will matter even more when it is time to trade or sell. Strong examples should still hold appeal because shoppers continue to value the Yukon’s space, comfort, and premium-feeling cabin.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2017 is a sensible primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
