4.4 Overall rating
(47 reviews)I loved everything about it! I loved it so much, I bought it. Great visibility, handles very well, feels tight, well-balanced and agile. Gas mileage ratings are also good. The roof racks and tow-ready package are a bonus. So is the intelligent 4x4. It also has plenty of room for storage all over the vehicle with attention to detail and ergonomic design. The only thing I had a problem with was connecting my phone. The display screen is far away and a bit difficult to read and I still havent figured out how to access the sub menu for adding Bluetooth devices. I guess I have to resort to reading the directions. Overall, its a very good value!
I had a 2017 Ford Escape SE with the Sport Appearance package. I loved it so much, Im looking for one just like it. Most impressive was its handling in an accident. Mine was unfortunately totaled, but it did great, deploying the proper air bags, automatically shutting the engine down and putting itself in crash mode, automatically turning the flashers on, and immediately dialing 911 FOR me. I was spun into a ditch and the car stayed upright. Its well balanced and handles well, and the tech features you can get on it are pretty top notch. With the Ford Pass app, you can start your vehicle remotely, lock your doors a mile a way if you need to. I love it. The only short side for me had to deal with the tires on the Sport Appearance package. I felt like they didnt handle wet roads as well as I would have liked, and the thinner tires provided a slightly less smooth ride. I could feel the road a little more with them, but I loved the look of them and it was worth the sacrifice for me.
It is a solid vehicle. A better value than its competitors. I know it does not hold its resale value as well as the Rav 4 or CRV. But I have never purchased a car where selling it after years of use was ever a consideration in buying it. Good horse power. Well featured. Fords second best seller for a reason.
We love the Titanium options, with the Navigation. The car handles very well. Very good view of the road. We had considered the Honda CRV and the Toyota Rav4. The Ford Escape is the perfect car for us. Hands-free trunk opening is very handy when loading and unloading packages.
Very reliable & good mileage. Leading in their class.
