How much does the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica cost?

Prices have softened 7.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,038 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?

Generally — 4.3/5. The expert test drive score is 8/10, and the model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise the spacious cabin, safety features, and smooth performance. The review summary also points to advanced technology and entertainment options as major strengths, which fits the Pacifica’s family-first mission. In practical terms, you’re looking at a minivan that was designed to feel modern and useful rather than purely utilitarian.

The market backs that up with 31.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary highlights that many owners value the Pacifica’s dependable feel, and it also points to the kind of long-term ownership experience families tend to care about: spaciousness, safety, and useful technology. The expert drive notes the Pacifica’s strong everyday usability and modern design, which supports the sense that it was built to be a practical family hauler you can count on.

That said, used buyers should still budget for a careful inspection and review service records closely, since expensive repairs can be a concern if prior maintenance has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?

At 65.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with a lot of family-use wear. Focus on interior condition, electronics, and signs of heavy use, since those are the areas most likely to show up in a minivan that has been worked hard. If the listing has been in an accident, make sure the repairs were done cleanly and that the vehicle still tracks straight and operates normally.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX comes with standard Bluetooth hands-free calling, a ParkView backup camera, Stow-N-Go seating, and active noise cancelation, while the Touring L adds leather seats, a power rear liftgate, and heated rear seats. The Touring L Plus adds the Uconnect Theater with rear touchscreens, and the Limited brings front-seat ventilation, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum, and 20-inch wheels.
• Powertrain: The Pacifica uses a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is described as quick enough for stoplight launches and highway passing, and the platform is designed to accept AWD.
• Safety package: The available SafetyTec Package adds blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense, and rear cross-path detection. The Advanced SafetyTec Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist, but it is limited to Touring L Plus and Limited trims.
• Infotainment: The base LX uses the smaller Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen, while the larger Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen is standard on the Limited and optional on the Touring L Plus. The system is customizable and includes a tablet-like layout, and Uconnect Theater is available with rear-seat touchscreens.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates are 18 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined.

Which 2017 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Touring, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the Pacifica’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get Bluetooth hands-free calling, a backup camera, Stow-N-Go seating, and active noise cancelation, so it covers the basics well for family use.
• Touring: This trim adds a modest step up in price and keeps the Pacifica’s core family-friendly layout intact. It makes sense if you want a little more equipment than the LX without jumping too far up the ladder.
• Touring L: This is the trim that starts to feel more upscale, thanks to leather seats, a power rear liftgate, and heated rear seats. It’s a strong middle-ground choice if you want comfort upgrades that you’ll actually notice day to day.
• Touring L Plus: This is the best-value trim if rear-seat entertainment matters, because it adds Uconnect Theater with dual rear touchscreens and more media inputs. It also unlocks the Advanced SafetyTec Package, which makes it especially appealing for families who want more tech and more driver assistance.
• Limited: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with front-seat ventilation, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum, and the larger Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen. It’s the right pick if you want the most fully equipped Pacifica and are willing to pay for it.

The Advanced SafetyTec Package is available only on the Touring L Plus and Limited, so if you want the most advanced driver-assistance features, you should focus on those trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,038 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,614, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica's resale value?

The current average of $11,614 sits slightly below last year's $12,568.

That price movement suggests the Pacifica has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help demand from shoppers looking for value. For a future seller, that means resale strength will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than just model appeal. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because the Pacifica’s family-friendly packaging and feature set remain compelling.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica safe?

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All models come standard with a full array of front and side impact airbags, the LATCH child-seat anchoring system, and a standard backup camera. The available SafetyTec Package adds blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense, and rear cross-path detection. The Advanced SafetyTec Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist, but it is available only on Touring L Plus and Limited trims.

Should I buy a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2017 stands out as a clean-sheet redesign with a fresh platform and a major investment behind it.

The bottom line: If you want the Pacifica’s fresh redesign, strong family utility, and lower used price, the 2017 is the right starting point. If you’re shopping mainly for the newest tech refinements or want to compare broader feature changes, a newer model year may be worth a look. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2017 remains attractive because it delivers the core Pacifica experience at a noticeably lower average price.
