How much does the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica cost?

Prices have softened 7.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,017 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?

Generally — the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica earns a 4.3/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall ownership and test-drive impression. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise the spacious cabin, safety features, smooth performance, advanced technology, and entertainment options. The overview also frames this Pacifica as a clean-sheet minivan with a fresh identity, so you’re looking at a family hauler that was designed to feel more modern than the typical used minivan.

With 29.6% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable in day-to-day family use, with praise centered on its spaciousness, safety, and smooth performance. The expert review also describes the Pacifica as a thoroughly modern minivan with a strong emphasis on practicality and technology, which supports the case for confident ownership if you choose a well-kept example.

That said, some owners reported ongoing reliability problems and expensive repairs, so used buyers should pay close attention to service history and condition before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?

At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has higher mileage or visible wear. Focus on signs of prior body damage, interior wear from family use, and any evidence of neglected maintenance, since those issues can matter more than cosmetic condition on a minivan like this.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX comes with Bluetooth hands-free calling, a ParkView backup camera, Stow-N-Go seating, active noise cancelation, and the smaller Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen. Touring L adds leather seats, a power rear liftgate, and heated rear seats, while Touring L Plus adds the Uconnect Theater with rear touchscreens and media inputs. Limited brings front-seat ventilation, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum, 20-inch wheels, and the larger Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen. The best-value trim is often the Touring L if you want a meaningful comfort upgrade without jumping all the way to the top.
• Powertrain: The Pacifica uses a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The review notes that the added power is welcome and helps the van pull away from stoplights and accelerate confidently on the highway.
• Safety package: The standard safety equipment includes front and side impact airbags, the LATCH child-seat anchoring system, and a backup camera. The available SafetyTec Package adds blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense, and rear cross-path detection. The Advanced SafetyTec Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist, but it is limited to Touring L Plus and Limited.
• Infotainment: The base LX uses the smaller Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth hands-free calling. The larger Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen is standard on Limited and optional on Touring L Plus, and it brings a more customizable interface with crisp graphics. Uconnect Theater is standard on Touring L Plus and optional on Limited.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates are 18 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined.

Which 2017 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Touring, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it still gives you Bluetooth hands-free calling, a backup camera, Stow-N-Go seating, active noise cancelation, and the smaller Uconnect touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Pacifica and can live without the extra comfort and tech features.
• Touring: This trim adds a higher starting point without a major feature jump called out in the source, so it is mainly a stepping stone in the lineup.
• Touring L: This is the trim that adds the most obvious everyday comfort upgrades, including leather seats, a power rear liftgate, and heated rear seats. If you want the best balance of value and equipment, this is the trim to focus on.
• Touring L Plus: This trim adds the Uconnect Theater with rear touchscreens and media inputs, making it the better pick if you want rear-seat entertainment for kids and longer family trips.
• Limited: This is the top-tier trim, with front-seat ventilation, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum, 20-inch wheels, and the larger Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen. It suits you best if you want the most upscale Pacifica experience.

The Advanced SafetyTec Package is available only on Touring L Plus and Limited, so if you want the fullest safety tech, you’ll need to shop those trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,017 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,641, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica's resale value?

The current average of $11,641 sits slightly below last year's $12,633.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can work in your favor as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price and keep the van in good condition, you can reduce the impact of that depreciation. Well-maintained examples with clean history and desirable equipment should hold up better than neglected ones.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica safe?

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All models come standard with a full array of front and side impact airbags, the LATCH child-seat anchoring system, and a standard backup camera. The available SafetyTec Package adds blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense, and rear cross-path detection, while the Advanced SafetyTec Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist.

The Advanced SafetyTec Package is limited to Touring L Plus and Limited, so if you want the most advanced driver-assistance setup, you’ll need to shop those trims.

Should I buy a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It represents Chrysler’s clean-sheet, ground-up redesign for the minivan lineup, which gives it a fresh-start appeal that older versions don’t match.

The bottom line: If you want the newest-feeling Pacifica in this price range, the 2017 is the one to target. If you’re mainly shopping for the lowest possible purchase price, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than the model year alone.
