Used 2017 Chrysler 300 for Sale nearFort Wayne, IN

How much does the 2017 Chrysler 300 cost?

Prices have softened 5.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 584 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Chrysler 300 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Chrysler 300 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the comfort, spaciousness, and smooth ride, and they also like the luxury feel and overall value. The 300’s full-size-sedan layout and upscale character make it a strong fit if you want a roomy cruiser for long drives rather than a small, sporty sedan. Some owners do mention navigation issues and wish for a more powerful sound system.

With 28.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Chrysler 300 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to quality, comfort, and value, and it also suggests the car is a favorite for long drives. The expert driving notes describe the 300 as confident, composed, and quiet, with minimal engine, road, and wind noise, which supports the impression of a car you can count on day to day.

The available maintenance and ownership experience also leans practical, since the car does not require premium fuel. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about making sure the specific car has been cared for well, especially given its size, equipment, and fuel costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chrysler 300?

At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with a prior claim. Focus on overall condition, signs of repair quality, and whether the car’s features and electronics work as expected. Because this is a large sedan with available luxury and driver-assistance equipment, you will want to make sure everything operates cleanly before you commit.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Limited starts with the smaller V6 and standard features such as heated, power-folding mirrors, 18-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, heated power front seats, and Uconnect 8.4 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 300S adds a more powerful V6, sport-tuned dual exhaust, paddle shifters, Sport Mode, and available V8 power, while the 300C shifts toward luxury with Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, navigation, and a dual-pane sunroof. The 300C Platinum adds the most upscale trim touches and premium audio.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 3.6-liter V6 or a 5.7-liter V8, both paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The V6 is the efficiency-minded choice, while the V8 brings stronger acceleration and a more performance-oriented feel.
• Safety package: The SafetyTec Package adds advanced brake assist, rain-sensing wipers, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, full-speed forward-collision warning with active braking, adaptive cruise control with stop, and ParkSense front and rear park assist. It is not standard on the base Limited.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 8.4 system uses an 8.4-inch color touchscreen and includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An upgraded system adds navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 19 mpg city and 30 highway with rear-wheel drive, or 18/27 with all-wheel drive. V8 models are rated at 16/25.

Which 2017 Chrysler 300 trim should I buy?

The 2017 Chrysler 300 is offered in 4 trim levels: Limited, 300S, 300C, and 300C Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Limited: This is the value-oriented choice if you want the 300’s core strengths without stretching the budget. You still get the V6, Uconnect 8.4 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated power front seats, and a well-equipped cabin, making it the best starting point for shoppers who care most about comfort and everyday usability.
• 300S: This is the best-value upgrade if you want more personality and stronger performance. It adds the more powerful V6, sport-tuned dual exhaust, paddle shifters, Sport Mode, and available V8 power, plus a more aggressive look and upgraded audio.
• 300C: This is the trim to choose if you want the 300 to feel more like a luxury sedan. It adds Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, navigation, and a dual-pane sunroof, so it suits you if comfort and upscale features matter more than price.
• 300C Platinum: This is the top-end choice for buyers who want the most premium presentation, with platinum exterior accents, upgraded interior materials, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and the most upscale cabin treatment.

All but the base Limited offer the SafetyTec Package, which is worth seeking out if you want the full set of driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chrysler 300?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 584 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,958, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chrysler 300's resale value?

The current average of $13,980 sits slightly below last year's $14,774.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the car for a while. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold up better than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Chrysler 300 safe?

The Chrysler 300 earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it high marks overall, with a Marginal result in Small Overlap Front.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes multiple airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, a ParkView reversing camera, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and tire pressure monitors. The available SafetyTec Package adds advanced brake assist, rain-sensing wipers, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, full-speed forward-collision warning with active braking, adaptive cruise control with stop, and ParkSense front and rear park assist. The base Limited does not get that package, so you should check carefully if you want the full driver-assistance suite.

The Small Overlap Front result is the main caveat to keep in mind, so crash history and repair quality matter even more when you shop used.

Should I buy a 2017 Chrysler 300 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2017 model benefits from the updated Uconnect system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the year’s appearance-package updates and the broad trim lineup.

The bottom line: The 2017 Chrysler 300 makes sense if you want a roomy, upscale full-size sedan with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-car price than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can shop aggressively for a clean, well-kept example; if you want the best mix of features and value, the midrange trims are likely the sweet spot.
