Is the 2017 Buick Enclave a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Buick Enclave earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2017 Buick Enclave reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a comfortable, spacious, and quiet vehicle that many drivers feel good about living with over time. The repeated praise for smooth handling and dependable family use suggests this is a model many owners count on day to day. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific vehicle has been maintained well and still drives as smoothly as owners expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Buick Enclave?

At 58.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you commit. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, suspension, and interior condition, since those areas can reveal whether a vehicle has been repaired carefully or worn hard. You should also focus on how the SUV drives and shifts, because a smooth test drive matters more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Buick Enclave?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 964 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,634, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $11,634 sits slightly below last year's $12,949.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter even more because buyers tend to reward clean, well-kept examples. A well-priced purchase today can still hold up reasonably well if you keep the vehicle in strong shape.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,855, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $11,634 average.
• It brings a full redesign with more space, more power, and a more modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2017 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-generation redesign, the 2018 is the better upgrade path; otherwise, the 2017 is the more price-sensitive choice.
