Why it stands out
The 2017 Honda Pilot stands out in the competitive midsize SUV segment, primarily due to its spaciousness and ability to accommodate larger families. With a powerful 280-horsepower V6 engine, it delivers impressive performance while maintaining a comfortable ride. The interior is well-designed, offering plenty of storage options and ample seating for up to eight passengers. High safety ratings, supported by features like Honda Sensing on various trims, make it a preferred choice for families seeking security and reliability. However, some users noted concerns about fuel economy, and as such, the Pilot may not be the most efficient option in its class. Overall, it balances features and practicality, making it appealing for those who prioritize space and comfort over sporty driving dynamics.

Roomier than it looks overall. Still a little cramped in passenger seat at 62. Overall better than highlander of same year.
