Is the 2017 Buick Enclave reliable?

The owner feedback highlights a comfortable, spacious, and quiet SUV that many buyers feel good about living with over time. That kind of dependable-feeling ownership experience matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for family duty and daily use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and driven without hidden issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Buick Enclave?

At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with past damage. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you plan to keep the SUV long term. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and how the transmission and drivetrain feel during a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Buick Enclave?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,001 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,715, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $11,715 sits slightly below last year's $12,997.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside than someone who paid closer to the prior average. Strong condition and clean history will matter more if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $16,017, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $11,715 average.
• It brings a full redesign with more power, less weight, and a more modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2017 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch for a newer design and want the more modern driving experience, the 2018 is the upgrade path; otherwise, the 2017 is the better pick for price-sensitive buyers.
